BDA Principal and Professor of Graphic Design Communication, Frank Baseman, was thrilled to be involved in a recently convened Philadelphia Design Summit gathering of Philadelphia area graphic designers. Ellen Shapiro, Contributing Editor for HOW Magazine, was in town and wanted to speak with a cross section of designers in advance of writing a feature story for an upcoming issue of HOW Magazine on Philadelphia as a City of Design. The article was tentatively entitled “Philadelphia: The City of Designerly Love.” A wonderful luncheon ensued where friends and colleagues—and some new acquaintances—broke bread at a restaurant in Center City.
